Greg Berlanti is the co-executive producer of The Tomorrow People U.S. TV Series.

At the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, Berlanti spoke at a Q&A session following the screening of the pilot episode. He explained how he became interested in the Original Series:

"I watched the show in the 80s, I watched the re-runs of the 70s version of the show and I was a tremendous fan of it and I used to watch it when it was on every day on Nickelodeon. For a while, I wasn’t even sure what I had watched as this was long before TVR and even VCR and I got to college and I met Julie Plec in college and this was one of the shows we would talk about."[1]

Berlanti spent eight years pursuing the rights to The Tomorrow People, and even received "a blessing in the form of an email" from series creator Roger Price.[2]

In 2011, Berlanti made a four-year production deal with Warner Bros. TV. On 08 October 2013, Variety.com reported that the deal had been extended to 2018.[3] The same article reported that he is scheduled to direct the science-fiction movie Epsilon (written by Zombieland scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick).[3][4]
